What is a Hard disk?
A hard disk, also known as a hard drive or HDD, is a non-volatile data storage device that is used to store and retrieve digital data on a computer. The hard disk is typically located inside a computer or laptop and consists of one or more spinning platters coated with magnetic material, along with read/write heads that are used to access and record data on the platters.
The platters are connected to a spindle, which spins them at high speeds while the read/write heads move across the platters to read and write data. The data is stored in magnetic form on the platters, and can be accessed and modified as needed.
Hard disks are the primary storage devices used in computers and are used to store the operating system, programs, and user data. They are available in a variety of storage capacities and form factors, ranging from a few gigabytes to several terabytes
